Our lightweight cosmetic dentures are made with your smile in mind.

The decision to replace missing or failing teeth is one of the most worthwhile you can make during your lifetime.

Quick-fire benefits of dentures

  • Replace dentures that no longer fit.
  • Reverse symptoms associated with ill-fitting dentures.
  • Modern denture designs are much more state-of-the-art.
  • Love your smile again.
  • Enhance your chewing ability.

What are dentures?

Dentures typically replace several missing teeth rather than just one or two. They’re a set of false teeth that you can remove with ease at home, allowing you to rinse them every night before you go to sleep.

We create your dentures with outstanding workmanship and skill so that you have a set of teeth that do everything you need them to – from helping you enjoy your food and talking to giving you the confidence to kiss, smile and feel happy and healthy.

FAQs

Why should I get dentures?

If you only have a couple of missing teeth, it might be tempting to avoid getting treatment to replace them. However, you’re likely to realise how much gaps in your smile can affect your livelihood early on after tooth loss. The loss of back teeth like molars can make chewing food a real challenge, and any gap in your mouth leaves you more vulnerable to gum irritation, infections, decay and gum disease.

Dentures will also fill out the parts of your face that have hollowed out as a result of tooth loss. This can give your face a more youthful and pleasing appearance.

What can I expect when getting a set of bespoke dentures?

We offer two types of dentures here at Loddon Vale in Reading: complete and partial. The former replaces a full mouth of lost teeth, whilst the latter is used when some healthy natural teeth remain. We will carry out a detailed assessment of the health of your mouth to establish if teeth require removal due to problems like decay and infection or if they have become loose due to gum disease.

How long can I expect my dentures to last?

Dentures aren’t a permanent solution to tooth loss, but they can last many years with the correct care. Providing you with comprehensive aftercare is an important part of our role as dentists, as this will help you to keep your dentures in the best possible shape.

We also strongly recommend attending routine dentist appointments. Prosthetic teeth should be afforded the same care as natural teeth. During your routine appointments, we will keep an eye on the condition of your jaw and check the fit of your dentures so that they continue to give you optimal chewing ability.
